It’s about time I updated, now 5 weeks into 1st Year Graphic Design Communication, it has gone pretty quickly, this is the first of our longer projects. Breif - You are to produce a symbol which communicates Introduction to higher education. It may go beyond the aims, objectives, purposes and learning outcomes of the first unit in your handbook. Produce 100 logos using black and white only and present on an A3 sheet in a landscape format. Tutors will choose the best 2 and they will be developed, then produce two different sized versions on a single sheet of A4 white paper , landscape format; the largest of which should be 150mm on its longest side; the smallest should measure 35mm on its longest side. I didn’t expect the tutors to choose the hammer logo as it was a last minute page filler but i’m pleased with how it turned out and the feedback was good. Producing the 100 logos was a bit tedious but I actual enjoyed the restrictions and repetition of refining each logo.
