The Cockney Alphabet -  is a parody of the way the alphabet is taught to small children. Designed to be recited, the humour comes from forming unexpected words and phrases from the names of the various letters of the alphabet.
Everyone was assigned a letter to realise at a workshop in the New North press in Hoxton. Above are some images from during the day. My letter was R - R for bitter - Half a bitter. The day was a pretty eye opening experience to how long setting type takes when you don’t have a computer. Forcing you to consider letter spacing, negative space and typeface selection in depth. Definately a crucial experience for all designers.
